Strømmen Vel is one of the oldest associations in Strømmen in Akershus. Since June 7, 1913, we have worked to promote the interests of the citizens vis-a-vis public authorities, and actively supported the local cultural life and local associations. Strømmen Vel today has about 900 individual members spread over about 450 households in Strømmen.

We have a citizen-oriented approach to the local development. Furthermore, we support teams and associations that contributes to the local community with meeting places for young and old, and which promote sports, local history and culture.
